MIRACLE UNIVERSITY DROPOUT PREVENTION PROGRAM
In the past 20 years, the Miracle University formula has transformed thousands of at- promise, in high schools and juvenile halls, from East Oakland to North Sacramento, CA, written off as potential dropouts, into scholars with admission to college or career technical school. Miracle University Dropout Prevention Program is currently in partnership with 5 high schools in 4 different school districts in Sacramento. As of Jan 2023, 120 students have been referred to our Miracle program because the students were failing, missing from school and written off by the school as a potential dropout.
The goal of the Miracle program was to help all students, written off as potential dropouts, to graduate from high school, eligible for college or career-ready. The majority of students have failed 90 percent of all their classes since 9th grade and some have had over 20 Fs on their transcript. The majority of students have missed over 10% of all school days and some have missed over 4 months of school! The schools and districts have run out of programs and options for the students. 50% of our students have been in foster care or experienced homelessness. 25% of our students have been on probation. As of today, all 120 students have either graduated or are on track to graduate from high school on time with career or university admission.
